@richardvogt2019 @LiamTheKelly Yes, we continue calling for no one to be returned to Libya, not only b/c of the detention centres but also the violent conflict+widespread human rights violations. But we continue to do what we can to try and meet the humanitarian needs of refugees inside the country

97 new cases bring total COVID cases to 1,828 in Somalia Urgent need for a ceasefire to focus efforts on stopping the virus Many displaced Somalis live in overcrowded+unnhygeine sites. No effort should be spared to prevent rapid transmission of the virus https://t.co/hrZ49KubCi

Horrific news. Smugglers and traffickers are able to do what they want with no consequences. This has to stop and those responsible for the deaths held to account https://t.co/ByYecff780

Hope this is worth it and hindsight doesn't prove it to have been a mistake. Feels like Premier League folding to the demands of TV bosses https://t.co/XoXxhC368i

Horrific reports of violation and abuse. Authorities must investigate and hold those found to have acted improperly to account https://t.co/4eMmv6h7Qo

Rescuing people in distress is a crucial pillar of the law of the sea. You cannot punish people for saving lives. Not only would it be inhumane, but also against maritime+int'l law. Here's UNHCR and @IMOHQ's guide to rescue at sea https://t.co/zXMhTqXA2V

Good to see action being taken. Too many smugglers+traffickers are able to act with impunity But this should go hand in hand with more safe+legal pathways to asylum+migration. And trafficking victims must be able to come forward without fear of punishment https://t.co/tfHlFNet1G
