Comments	Within the near future, as many as 160,000 Eritrean refugees who fled to Sudan during Eritrea's 30-year war for independence expect to repatriate with the assistance of UNHCR. Based on a USCR site visit to Eritrea in February 2001, this report assesses this refugee reintegration into Eritrea after a decade-long stay in Sudan. Personal accounts by refugees and photographs provide a meaningful context to USCR's findings as this report examines the current situation in Eritrea and forecasts the coming mass-repatriation. The oldest large-scale refugee situation monitored by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees might soon come to an end, but numerous challenges remain. Getting refugees back home to Eritrea is only the beginning.
