GP20 Compilation of National Practices to Prevent, Address and Find Durable Solutions to Internal Displacement
To mark the 20th anniversary of the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement (GP20) in 2018, the UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights of IDPs spearheaded the launch of a three-year multi-stakeholder Plan of Action and consultative process on internal displacement. From 2018 to 2020, this initiative co-chaired by UNHCR and OCHA gathered UN Member States, UN agencies, NGOs, the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the World Bank and other key experts and stakeholders at the national, regional and global levels. The GP20 Compilation of National Practices to Prevent, Address and Find Durable Solutions to Internal Displacement showcases 22 promising practices on internal displacement shared and generated over the three-year lifespan of GP20.
