When and where did you begin this sport?
He began wheelchair racing at age 23 at the Weir Archer Academy in Kingston upon Thames, England.
Why this sport?
After falling ill he was forced to return to hospital for two years, at which point he fell into a depression, from which sport helped him recover. “I started wheelchair racing right after I got dismissed from hospital. I was in my mid-twenties at the time and I thought I have to do something, so I thought go back to basics and just do sports and see how it goes, and I stuck with wheelchair racing since day one.”

Born in Tunisia, he moved to London, England, at age six after his father took a job as a diplomat there. Moatez also underwent five years of rehabilitation at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, and chose to represent Great Britain over Tunisia.
