Welcome to the Solutions Alliance!

Reflecting on the changes brought about by recent initiatives launched in 2016, the Solutions Alliance Governing Board has decided to close the Solutions Alliance on 30 June 2017. For more information on our transition into other initiatives, please review our closing statement

Forced displacement affects over 65 million people worldwide - the largest number since World War II. While the number of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) continues to grow, so does their length of time in displacement. The Solutions Alliance supports collaborative approaches between humanitarian and development actors to enable the transition of displaced persons away from dependency on aid towards increased resilience, self-reliance, and development while also supporting solutions to protracted displacement. Together, our partners are helping to reshape a more innovative and effective global response to displacement. Our partners include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Host & donor governments
  • UN agencies
  • Multilateral financial institutions
  • Civil society organisations
  • International NGOs
  • Private sector
  • Academia
