This comprehensive study on Refugees, IDPS and Host Community in urban areas in Duhok, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, is conducted by a technical working group comprising Duhok Statistics Office (DSO), Board of Relief and Humanitarian Affairs (BRHA), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Joint IDP Profiling Services (JIPS).
This study is funded by the United Kingdom Department for International Development. The preliminary findings of the study were shared and validated with Governorate stakeholders, UN agencies, and NGOs in a workshop held in the Governor’s office. The recommendations for the report were subsequently jointly discussed by all parties. This study is, in effect, a joint effort between all the stakeholders playing a significant role in the humanitarian response to the displacement crisis in the Duhok Governorate.
