The second round of winterization has begun for both refugee and IDP families in Duhok governorate, focusing primarily on kerosene distribution.

A site has been allocated for construction of 500 new plots in order for UNHCR/PWJ to extend Domiz-2 camp.

On 17 January, the Ibrahim Khalil border crossing point was re-opened for civilian and commercial crossings.

Fifty six Syrian families living in poor substandard shelters have been relocated to the newly built plots in Domiz 1 camp. A total number of 494 families have been subject to this type of relocation during this year.

UNHCR started supplementary distribution of non-food items to non-camp Syrian refugees in Duhok targeting 1,200 families. The items include one hygiene kit, one rechargeable fan, two mattresses and four blankets per family.
