@JFCrisp @AmbrosiEugenio Raises some interesting points, though not all are applicable to the refugee context. Merits a discussion that goes beyond 240 characters, but i don’t believe it to be the case that highlighting the particular+additional needs of refugee women+children is (always) problematic

Please take a read of this heart-wrenching story from John, who has just been diagnosed with cancer after a decade on the road supporting refugees with his dad @Harryslaststand. As you stood with refugees, I know the whole community offer our support! https://t.co/65yL5M6m31

@MarkousAmera Refugees went to Libya long before evacuations. Motivations diverse+smuggling networks to Libya are centuries old. ‘Town building’+integration not so simple, costly+take time. *If* a pull factor exists, how big is it? What’s the alternative for most vulnerable, leave them there?

Amazing news. Great to have @MoSalah joining forces with UNHCR and Vodafone to stand #WithRefugees. Enough to forgive him for being part of such an unstoppable Liverpool side https://t.co/0njVKOGcgw

Wow. Didn’t actually think UEFA would have the nerve to do this. Great to see such a strong message being sent to rich clubs trying to cheat their way to success!! What about PSG and others? Manchester City banned from Champions League for two seasons https://t.co/IziCSMdz3K

As humanitarians, we cannot abandon Libya – to leave now would be a dereliction of duty https://t.co/Ux2P3WR6th

Horrible, horrible stuff. Does not represent the views of the people of Norwich in any way. Hope this is not a sign of the forces that will be unleashed by Brexit https://t.co/S1ASwW81Td

We fear that such exercises could make the entire area a possible military target, further endangering the lives of refugees, asylum seekers, and other civilians. Too many refugees, migrants and Libyans have already lost their lives to this conflict https://t.co/pxAQJsSXIX
