Incumbent Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca has been reelected.
The pro-Western incumbent mayor of Chisinau has been declared the winner in a second-round mayoral election in Moldova.
Moldova's Central Election Commission posted the results on June 29, saying that 100 percent of the ballots had been counted.
Dorin Chirtoaca, deputy head of the Liberal Party, was declared the winner of the June 28 voting with 53.46 percent, while rival Zinaida Greceani of the pro-Russia Socialist Party received 46.56 percent.
Earlier on June 29, Socialist Party leader Igor Dodin alleged that the voting had been marred by violations and said the party would contest the results.
Turnout in Chisinau was about 49 percent.
