According to an Iranian radio broadcast monitored by the Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS), the first group of Iranians living in Kuwait left for Saudi Arabia on 11 August 1990 (FBIS-NES-90-160 17 Aug. 1990, 66).
Another Iranian radio broadcast monitored by the FBIS quotes an Iranian Foreign Ministry representative as stating that the Iraqis set 29 August as the deadline for Iranians to leave Kuwait (FBIS-NES-90-166 27 Aug. 1990, 67).
Without referring to any additional restrictions on exit for Iranians, the seven attached Iranian radio broadcasts monitored by the FBIS state that the return to Iran of Iranians living in Kuwait continued in August 1990.
