As per our telephone conversation, please find attached a copy of the requested document, provided by the Vice-Consul of The Netherlands at Montreal (2 pages). The translation provided and written by the source on the documents states the following:
-"A citizen obtaining the Suriname-nationality according to this Agreement will be divested from the Netherlands nationality" (Article 2.1, Toescheidingsovereenkomst Inzake Nationaliteiten); -"A citizen born in Suriname and at the time of Independence permanently residing there has Surinam-citizenship" (Article 2.b, Landsverordening van 24 november 1975, tot regeling van het Surinamerschap en het Ingezetenschap, gewijzigd bij decreten nr. C78 van 5 oktober 1983, C78 A van 8 november 1984 en de wet van 27 maart 1989 [Stb. 29]).
