French journalist and author Florence Hartmann
A lawyer said the former spokeswoman for the UN war crimes tribunal is expected to remain jailed until later this week at the earliest.
Florence Hartmann was detained by guards outside the tribunal's building in The Hague on March 24, the same day as the court convicted Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic of helping to organize atrocities during the 1992-95 war.
Hartmann was a spokeswoman for prosecutors at the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in the early 2000s, but then published a book alleging the court struck a secret deal with Serbia.
The tribunal convicted her of contempt of court in 2009 for revealing confidential material.
Her lawyer, Guenael Mettraux, said on March 28 that Hartmann remained jailed at Scheveningen prison, home to several notorious war criminals, and was "locked up until further notice."
