Azerbaijani security forces say they have apprehended a third member of a group that allegedly planned to blow up a mosque in the capital, Baku.

The Ministry for National Security announced on November 26 that Elhan Babaev, an Azerbaijani citizen, was arrested.

Azerbaijani authorities announced last week that two Azerbaijani men, Nariman Mirzoev and Mirzahmad Rustamov, had been arrested for belonging to a "religious" terrorist group that planned the attack against a local mosque.

According to the ministry officials, investigations have been launched into terrorism and illegal weapons possession.
