In a letter sent to the Research Directorate on 6 February 1998, the second secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Ottawa referred the Research Directorate, in response to questions posed to the Embassy on the above-mentioned requirements for dependants, to the Law on Foreigners of the Republic of Slovenia. Copies of the June 1991 Foreigners Act and the June 1991 Citizenship of Republic of Slovenia Act are available in REFWORLD (a UNHCR database).
Additional or corroborating information on the requirements for dependants (spouse and children who are currently residing in Bosnia) of a person who has obtained Slovenian citizenship to obtain Slovenia citizenship, and on whether these dependants are permitted to enter and reside in Slovenia in order to fulfil citizenship requirements, could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
