Other than information provided in Response to Information Request GHA19965.E of  23 March 1995, information on FIDA-Ghana and its activities is scarce.

A 27 December 1991 Inter Press Service (IPS) report states that the Ghana Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA-Ghana) has a legal aid program for women. However, the article also states that none of the women's organizations in Ghana are as powerful as the December Women's Movement (DWM) headed by Nana Agyeman Rawlings, the wife of  the President (ibid.). This source does not report on  the activities of  FIDA-Ghana. Additional information on FIDA-Ghana could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum. Please find attached the list of additional sources consulted in researching this Information Request.
