Tete Antonio is named as Minister-Counsellor on the list of employees of the Permanent Mission of Angola to the United Nations (Angola 2003). A man named Ismael Gaspar Martins, appointed in April 2001, represented Angola at the United Nations (ibid.) and sat on the UN Security Council in 2003 and 2004, during which time Angola was a member of the Council (WILPF n.d.).

On the list of participants in the preparations for the Millennium Assembly of the United Nations in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 24 and 25 June 1999, Tete Antonio is named as part of the delegation from Angola, along with Ambassador Herminio Joaquim Escorcio and Chargé d'affaires Maria Isabel de Resende (United Nations 4 Oct. 1999). Without specifying his exact title, the same source indicated that Tete Antonio was an employee of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola (ibid.). However, a list of participants in a United Nations conference also held in Addis Ababa from 11 to 16 March 1996, indicated that Tete Antonio was the Second Secretary of the Embassy of Angola in Ethiopia (ibid. 3 Sept. 1996).
