According to a representative of the Embassy of Burundi in Ottawa, a UNHCR Convention Refugee living in Burundi may apply for nationality (30 Sept. 1992). The representative was not able to describe the administrative process nor comment on the likelihood of whether such a request would be successful (Ibid.).

Additional and/or corroborative information on this subject is currently unavailable to the DIRB in Ottawa.
