In a 22 September 1997 telephone interview with the DIRB, the Socialist Party of Chile (Partido Socialista de Chile, PS) party secretary stated that in general, PS members, including political exiles returning to Chile, are not being harassed or monitored by the authorities. Additional and/or corroborating information could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB.
