For general information on the presence of Contra forces in Honduras, including the Fuerza Democratica Nicaraguense (FDN), please consult HND26929.E of 8 July 1997, HND22539.E of 15 December 1995 and HND0758 of 9 May 1989.

In a 16 January 1999 e-mail message sent to the Research Directorate, a professor of political science at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, specializing in Honduras military affairs, stated that he had no information as to whether Hondurans were recruited as Contra members by the FDN.

Additional information could not be found among the sources consulted.
