Nine former Bosnian Serb policemen have been arrested on suspicion of crimes against humanity committed during the country's 1992-95 civil war.
Bosnia's state prosecution office said on December 4 that the nine were suspected of having expelled, deported, illegally imprisoned, tortured, or killed non-Serbian civilians between May and December 1992 in a systematic campaign against the Muslim and Croatian populations.
Seven of the suspects were arrested in the towns of Kotor Varos, one in Bileca, and one in Trebinje.
The war in Bosnia claimed around 100,000 lives and left some 2 million refugees and displaced people.
