Serbia and Macedonia are urging the European Union to come up with an action plan to respond to the influx of migrants into Europe.
Speaking at a summit in Vienna on August 27, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic asked, "When do you plan to establish controls and prevent migrants going to Serbia and Macedonia?"
"You are asking us, Serbia, to come up with the action plan for migrants," he added. "You should come up with an action plan first."
Macedonia's Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki said, "Unless we have a European answer to this issue, none of us should be under any illusion that this will be solved."
In July, the number of migrants from conflict-hit states in the Middle East and Africa detected at EU's borders reached a record number of 107,500.
