During a visit to Jordan, Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi has called for "increased cooperation" in the battle against the Islamic State (IS) extremist group.
Abadi met separately with King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Abdullah Nsur in Amman on October 26.
The palace said King Abdullah pledged Jordan's "full support" for Baghdad and the U.S.-led coalition "in confronting terrorist organizations."
Jordan borders Iraq's western Anbar Province, much of which has been overrun by IS militants. The country is taking part in U.S.-led air strikes against the group.
Local media quoted Abadi as telling Nsur, "Our vision for the future is to develop political, economic, and trade ties."
Nsur said Jordan wanted to see a "strong" Iraq.
Abadi's visit comes after a trip to Iran last week.
