Protesters clash with security forces outside the Interior Ministry in Tunis on February 7.
Angry mourners have clashed with police in Tunis as tens of thousands of people attended the funeral of assassinated opposition leader Chokri Belaid.
Police responded with tear gas.
Earlier on February 8, the police fired shots in the air to disperse rioting youths in the area.
Separately, some 10,000 mourners gathered on the same day in Sidi Bouzid, the southern town where the Arab Spring began.
Belaid, a critic of the ruling moderate Islamist party Ennahda, was killed January 6 in Tunis as he left home.
Prime Minister Hamdi Jebali, a moderate Ennahda politician, has said he will dissolve the government and install a technocrat cabinet in a bid to ease tensions.
Meanwhile, all flights in and out of Tunisia were canceled February 8 amid a general strike called by Tunisia's largest union.
