Former Palestinian President Yasser Arafat died in 2004.
A senior official from the Palestine Liberation Organization, the PLO, has called for an international inquiry into what he called "the killing" of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.
Wasel Abu Yusef's comments to the French news agency AFP came a day after Arafat's widow, Suha, said Swiss experts had found out Arafat probably died of polonium poisoning.
Suha Arafat, who had already received the experts' report, called her husband's death a "political assassination."
The Swiss experts who tested samples of Arafat's body for possible poisoning are scheduled to report on their findings later on November 7.
Allegations about foul play surfaced immediately after Arafat's death in a French military hospital in 2004. A team of experts opened his grave in the West Bank city of Ramallah last year to remove samples of his body for testing.
