According to a representative of the Arab League in Ottawa, all the Iraqi reservists up to 55 years of age were compelled to report to the Iraqi armed forces during the occupation of Kuwait (29 Apr. 1992). The reservists were not allowed to leave Iraq during the period of occupation (Ibid.). The representative had no information on the military status of these reservists before the occupation of Kuwait.

Additional and/or corroborating information on this subject is currently unavailable to the IRBDC.
