A 6 September 1998 Reuters article states that Nadejda (Hope) is one of the eight privatisation funds fined by the Bulgaria' Securities and Stock Exchanges Commission (SSEC) for "using misleading information in their advertising campaigns aimed at attracting more subscribers to their funds." Additional information on Nadejda in Bulgaria could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints.
