An official at the Kazakh UN Mission in New York was familiar with these publications but did not know which group or groups publish them (16 Aug. 1993). She was, however, able to supply some information on each of them:

Caravan is a bilingual (half and half) Russian-Kazakh publication.

Horizon is a bilingual Russian-Kazakh publication which is youth-oriented and targeted towards students. It publishes articles on policy, economics as well as other topics of interest to young people.

Truth of Kazakhstan may be Khazakstanski Pravda (Russian) or Ejemen Kazakhstan (Kazakh) as both of these names translate into "Truth of Kazakhstan". Like Pravda in Moscow, this publication was the official voice of the Communist Party in Kazakhstan. The official was not certain whether it has become "independent" (Ibid.).

The DIRB is unable to corroborate this information at the present time.
