According to a representative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ottawa, a residence permit can be renewed several times if the holder has proven to be a responsible resident, i.e., has no criminal record, pays taxes, etc. (26 Aug. 1993). The renewal procedures can be accomplished at a local office of the Ministry of Interior or at a local police station, which will then forward the request to the proper branch at the Ministry of Interior (Ibid.).

Additional and/or corroborating information on this subject is currently unavailable to the DIRB in Ottawa.
