Montenegro has deported 58 foreigners, including 43 Russians, linked to a religious cult.
Police did not name the religious group, but local media have reported that they are members of Aum Shinrikyo, the Japanese doomsday cult that carried out a deadly nerve gas attack on Tokyo's subway in 1995.
The Montenegrin police said the members were expelled on March 28 because they lacked temporary residence permits to stay in the Balkan country.
Police said among those expelled were Japanese, Ukrainian, and Uzbek citizens.
Police said the group members had been staying in two hotels in Montenegro.
They gave statements to police and their laptops and mobile phones were taken for examination.
No arrests were made.
