U.S. Vice President Joe Biden speaks to media after meeting with Polish leaders in Warsaw on March 18.
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is in Lithuania as he continues a two-day regional trip to assure NATO allies of Washington's support in the Ukraine crisis.
Biden is due to meet this morning with Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite and separately with visiting President Andris Berzins of Latvia.
The three leaders will also meet for a joint lunch.
Biden came from Warsaw, where on March 18 he denounced Russia's annexation of Crimea as a "land grab" in violation of international law.
Appearing with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he said the international community cannot accept Crimea's annexation.
Tusk called the move a "provocation for the entire free world."
In Warsaw, Biden also met with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and with Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves.
Biden leaves for Washington later on March 19.
