No information on the treatment of Saudi Arabians in the Philippines nor on the prevalence of intermarriage between Saudi men and Philippine women could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.

According to the U.S. Department of State's "Consular Information Sheet":

A foreigner who wishes to marry in the Philippines is required by the Philippine government to obtain from his/her Embassy a "Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage" before filing an application for a marriage license (11 Oct. 2002).

According to the Europa World Yearbook 2001, Saudi Arabia maintains an embassy in Manila (2001, 3202). This Embassy was unable to respond to requests for information within the time constraints of this Response.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum. Please find below the list of additional sources consulted in researching this Information Request.
