A representative of the Sierra Leone Cultural Society of Ontario stated that the main TV station in Sierra Leone is the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Service (SLBS) (3 Oct. 1994). Other stations such as the BBC World Service and CNN can be viewed via satellite, but these are available to only a small percentage of the population.

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
