Iraqi officials say Kurdish Peshmerga forces have discovered another mass grave in northern Iraq containing the remains of about 25 members of the Yazidi minority, including women and children.
Myaser Haji Saleh, a local official responsible for the Sinjar area, said on February 2 that the dead are thought to be victims who were killed by Islamic State (IS) militants.
A Peshmerga commander said the grave was discovered on February 1 during a search for mines planted in the area by IS militants.
He said some of victims were shot dead and others "slaughtered" with knives.
Iraqi government forces and Peshmerga fighters found nine similar mass graves in and around Sinjar in December.
Hundreds of Yazidis are thought to have been summarily executed when IS militants overran Sinjar in August.
Thousands of Yazidi women and girls also were abducted, raped, forced into marriage, or sold as slaves to IS fighters.
