Lebanese security sources say a son of Libya's late leader Muammar Qaddafi has been kidnapped by an armed group in Lebanon.
Hannibal Qaddafi appeared in a video aired late on December 11 on local television, saying anyone who has information about the fate of Imam Moussa al-Sadr should come forward.
Al-Sadr, a prominent Lebanese Shi'ite cleric, went missing during a trip to Libya in 1978.
In the video, 40-year-old Qaddafi appeared to have been beaten up and had black eyes but said he was "in good health, happy, and relaxed."
It was not clear when Qaddafi, who is married to a Lebanese woman, was kidnapped.
He was given sanctuary in Oman in 2012 after fleeing the country. His father was overthrown by rebels in an uprising in 2011.
