Jailed Azerbaijani activist Leyla Yunus has written a letter describing being harrassed by a group of young men who entered her Baku cell without explanation.
The letter, which was sent to Yunus's daughter through an intermediary, says the men, dressed in overcoats and civilian clothes, entered her cell on the evening of November 25 and made sexually threatening gestures.
Yunus says prison officials reprimanded her the next day for insulting medical personnel.
Yunus, 58, has been held in detention since July on charges of high treason related to her work in neighboring Armenia.
Her lawyers say she is in extremely poor health and has been subjected to beatings and lack of medical care for advanced liver disease.
Yunus's husband, Arif Yunus, is also being held in detention on similar charges.
The couple says the cases against them are politically motivated.
