Yemeni hospital officials said at least 44 people, including civilians, were killed in a series of air strikes by a Saudi-led coalition that targeted the headquarters of Yemen's armed forces in the rebel-held capital, Sanaa.
More than 100 people, including women and children, were also wounded in the raids early on June 7, the rebel-controlled Saba news agency reported.
Yemeni officials said the strikes caused heavy destruction to the facility and damaged several nearby residential buildings.
The raids came a day after Saudi officials said the kingdom's air defenses shot down a Scud missile fired from Yemen.
The coalition began launching airstrikes on March 26 against the Iranian-backed Shi'ite rebels, known as Houthis, and their allies in the military and security forces.
The rebels seized Sanaa in September 2014. They later captured much of northern Yemen and advanced to the south in March.
