An information officer with the Ministry of Justice of the Nederlands, which is in charge of the refugee-determination system in that country, states that there has not been any change in the Dutch policy towards Palestinian refugee claimants in the recent past (17 Aug. 1994). The information officer maintains that there was no change in the Dutch policy towards Palestinian refugee claimants in 1992 either. The source adds, however, that a new law affecting all refugee claimants will be put in force this year.

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
