Directory assistance for Toronto, Ontario, was unable to find a listing for a St. Mary's Ethiopian Orthodox Church, a St. Mark's Ethiopian Orthodox Church, or an Amanual (Emmanuel) Cathedral Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Toronto, Ontario (30 Jan. 1998; 1 Feb. 1998; 2 Feb. 1998). However, there is a St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Church on Glendinnig Street, Toronto, which is an Egyptian church (2 Feb. 1998). Directory assistance for Toronto provided listings for two Ethiopian Orthodox Churches, one of which is located on Tycos Drive, the other on Vaughn Road (30 Jan. 1998).

Information on whether a St. Mary's Ethiopian Orthodox Church, a St. Mark's Ethiopian Orthodox Church or an Amanual (Emmanuel) Cathedral Ethiopian Orthodox Church exist in Ethiopia, on whether the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Canada issues baptismal certificates identical to that attached, on whether the same blank baptismal certificates issued by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Ethiopia are also available to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Canada, and on the differences between a baptismal certificate issued by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Ethiopia and that issued by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Canada, could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
