In a telephone interview on 5 March 2001, a Professor of Political Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio, who specializes on Libya, stated that the main address of Libyan League for Human Rights is in Geneva. On its Website, the International Federation of Human Rights (Fédération internationale des ligues des droits de l'homme, FIDH) gives the following address for the Libyan League for Human Rights (LLHR): PO BOX 2146 - CH 1211 Geneva 2 - Swistzerland (6 Mar. 2001). It is specified that the LLHR is a correspondent league to the FIDH (ibid.).

The Professor of Political Science added that when it was founded in 1980, the LLHR numbered about 35 members; the Professor could not tell how many members the LLHR has today (5 March 2001).

The LLHR has two other sections, one in Germany and one in England (ibid.). The address of the LLHR-Germany is Postfach 1132, 53308 Bornheim (LLHR-Germany 27 Feb. 2001). It has a Webpage which contains, in Arabic, a report on the situation of human rights in Libya for the year 1999 (ibid.).

According to the Professor of Political Science, one can be a member of the LLHR-Germany and not live in the country (ibid.).
