A Tunisian branch of the Islamic State (IS) militant group has claimed responsibility for beheading a young Tunisian shepherd, accusing him of informing Tunisia's army about their movements in the central province of Sidi Bouzid.
In a video posted on the Internet on November 22, the group Jund al-Khilafa claims 16-year-old Mabrouk Soltani informed on the militants for money while the young shepherd insists he has none.
The video ends with the killing of the boy and a song threatening to "come to decapitate" others.
The killing of Soltani has sparked anger in Tunisia.
The killers ordered a 14-year-old boy who was working with Soltani to deliver the victim's head wrapped in plastic to his family.
Tunisia's Interior Ministry said on November 21 that it had arrested five suspects in connection with Soltani's death.
