In a telephone interview on 4 August 1995, the ambassador and head of the Organization on Security and Cooperation in Europe's (OSCE) mission in Tallinn provided the following information. There is a Jewish graveyard (Juudi Kalmistu) and it is part of the Rahumäe cemetery in the centrally located Nomme district of Tallinn.

In a telephone interview on 4 August 1995, the president of the Estonian Central Council in Canada in Toronto, a Canadian nongovernmental organization that lobbies on behalf of Estonian Canadians and assists in technical aid programmes to Estonia but is independent of the Estonian government, provided the following information. In the Christian Rahumäe cemetery in Tallinn, there is an official Jewish section, although there is no separate name for the Jewish portion. The Rahumäe cemetery's address is 6a, Rahumäe Street, and the cemetery is located several kilometres northeast of the city core.

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
