No information on the treatment of homosexuals by Angolan society could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
Nevertheless, Jeune Afrique/L'Intelligent indicated in a recent article that only homosexuality between men is prohibited in Angola (4-10 Sept. 2005, 35; see also BTM, n.d.). Behind the Mask (BTM), citing The Pink Agenda, indicates that "homosexual acts in Angola are described in law as being 'offensive against public morality'"(BTM n.d.).
This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints.
