During a 22 October 1996 telephone interview, the director of the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (CDH), based in Lubumbashi (see attachment), explained that Kimbeimbe is a commando military camp located at km 15 on the road from Lubumbashi to Likasi. The CDH director added that his organization has never heard of a detention centre at Kimbeimbe military camp.
