Information on the Mission of Peace and Fraternity – Mother Theresa could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.

In 3 February 2007 correspondence sent to the Research Directorate, a representative of the Tirana-based Committee of Nationwide Reconciliation indicated that, following several enquiries made throughout Albania, he concluded that "[t]he Mission of Peace and Fraternity – Mother Theresa [does] not exist or [has] minimal activity [in] the blood feud conflicts in Albania." This information could not, however, be corroborated among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate within the time constraints of this Response.

Among the sources consulted, the only organization with the name "Mother Teresa" in its title that works on blood feuds in Albania is the Reconciliation Mission Mother Teresa, which is based in Skhoder and led by Gjin Mekshi (CNR n.d.; CAAHT Sept. 2004, 31).

This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the Research Directorate within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim for refugee protection. Please find below the list of additional sources consulted in researching this Information Request.
