Israel has carried out an air strike against targets in the Gaza Strip for the first time since a truce was brokered in November.
The Islamist group Hamas, which governs Gaza, said on April 2 that that Israeli aircraft struck in northern Gaza and that there were no casualties.
The Israeli military later confirmed the report, saying the air strike targeted "two extensive terror sites" in northern Gaza.
Earlier on April 2, Israel said three rockets had been launched from Palestinian territory. No one has claimed responsibility for those attacks and no casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, Abu Hamdiyeh, a 63-year-old Palestinian prisoner being held by Israel in Hebron, died on the same day of throat cancer.
Palestinian officials have blamed Israel for his death.
