NATO Parliamentary Assembly President Hugh Bayley says his organization supports Georgia's integration with NATO.
Bayley is leading a NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegation that arrived in Tbilisi on July 25.
Bayley said upon arriving in the Georgian capital that the assembly had asked the leaders of NATO's 28 members to help determine ways to enhance Georgia's integration with the alliance.
Georgia has made NATO membership a key foreign policy goal.
In 2008, NATO promised that Georgia would eventually become a member of the alliance and in 2011 it was designated an "aspirant country."
Bayley and his delegation are scheduled to hold talks with Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, parliament speaker David Usupashvili, Foreign Minister Maja Panjikidze, and Defense Minister Irakli Alasania.
The NATO delegation is due to end its visit July 26.
