Information specifically referring to or pictures of the uniforms of the Ethiopian army and rebel forces of Ethiopia are scarce among the sources currently available to the IRBDC.

The attached documents contain some pictures of rebels, as well as army troops and officers. In one magazine picture, EPLF guerrillas are shown wearing a star on their shoulder pads, although another picture in the same magazine shows a female guerrilla without a visible starred shoulder pad (New African July 1989, 11-13). Please note that the various pictures' captions do not indicate whether the rebels depicted belong to any particular units or groups within their forces, nor whether the army officers and troops shown belong to a single detachment or branch of the military.
