A teenager has been arrested in the town of Naro-Fominsk in the Moscow region for his alleged involvement in the killing of an Uzbek labor migrant.
Russian Investigative Committee spokeswoman Olga Vradiy said on February 5 that the teenager is suspected to be one of four Russian youths who stabbed an 18-year-old Uzbek citizen to death on January 20.
Meanwhile, investigators in Russia's second-largest city, St. Petersburg, said two young men – one of whom is under 18 – were arrested for their alleged involvement in killing a 51-year-old Uzbek labor migrant on the Day of People's Unity on November 4.
Seven suspects, including five teenagers, have already been arrested in connection with that case.
Attacks against labor migrants from Central Asia and the Caucasus occur regularly in Russia.
