Information on the above-mentioned subject could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB. However, the attached 11 July 1994 Times article may be of interest. In it, the brother of Ms Taslima Nasreen reportedly stated that he and other members of his family have been "abused" by Islamist extremists (The Times 11 July 1994). Ms Taslima Nasreen, a Bangladeshi author, has been accused by Islamist groups of having insulted Islam during a May 1994 interview with an Indian newspaper (ibid.).
