Pakistani military officials say Taliban gunmen killed 29 people, including 16 people who were praying in a mosque, when they stormed a Pakistani Air Force base.
At least 13 gunmen also were killed, raising the death toll in the battle to 42.
The September 18 attack on the Badaber Air Base near the northwestern city of Peshawar was the deadliest Taliban attack on a military installation in Pakistan's history.
The military said the attackers broke into a mosque inside the compound of the base and shot the worshippers dead inside.
The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility.
It was unclear how many militants were involved and if some got away.
Shortly after the attack, a drone strike hit a home in the South Waziristan tribal region, killing at least three militants and wounding five.
Pakistani security officials were unable to confirm whether the air strike was carried out by a U.S. drone or by Pakistan's own newly deployed attack drones.
